God made man and made Him to subdue the earth and to REPLENISH it. Our word for this is HARNESSING it but what many people, organisation and enterprises have concentrated on doing is EXPLOITING nature. They tap the natural resources, pollute the environment (noise, waste, industrial Pollution etc), without thinking of the effect on the environment.
This climate change experienced all over the world should be a great source of concern to every one.
What can YOU do?
The Environmental Mandate Organisation(EMO) is born out of the desire to contribute our own quota to protecting our environment; encouraging sustainable environmental ustilisation of resources; by educating the masses on their environmental responsibilities and rights; alerting regulatory authorities of threats to the environment, and to helping to defend the right of people who suffer from environmental degradation.
Industrialisation:
The rivers are being polluted, injurious gases fill the atmosphere!! Oh the pains of industrialisation? The gains the pains! What shall we do?? Industrialisation a curse or a blessing? Whatever side you argue for, it is a fact that human activities is endagering the whole of nature including MAN!
We have responsibilities and Rights, it is expected that we take Action to preserve, restore and/or protect our environment.
Our aims and objectives:
* To improve the level of public awareness with regard to waste and pollution management, as well as the need for community action in the development and maintenance of green spaces and other public facilities and amenities
* To return and guarantee the dignity and humanity of the African people, in particular those living in rural areas, by providing sustainable, appropriate and affordable sanitation.
* To be a forum for the advancement of environmental issues -responsibilities and Rights of the people.
* To foster unity amongst environmental rights groups by providing fora for imteraction and co-opeative actions.
* To work hand in hand with regulatory bodies in governments, international organisation towards achieving our goals and objectives.
Our Strategies:
* Public enlightenement campaign, Symposium, Workshops and Seminars.
* Establisbment and monitoring of EMO Club in schools and communities.
* Online discussions and sharing of ideas and information on environmental Rights and Responsibilities.
